This day was an experience and moment I will cherish forever. On top of being some of the best clients ever, it was so touching that I got to know Maddie before all of this and saw her relationship with Michael grow into this. Thank you Maddie & Mike for allowing me to document such a perfect day for the two of you.

Their day was filled with so much love, celebrating and dancing. From my end, the timeline flowed so smoothly and the environment was so calm. Some weddings it can feel like you're sprinting for 8 hours, but this truly felt lived in and experienced not only by Maddie & Mike and their guests, but myself as well. One of my favorite moments I got to capture was Maddie’s expression right after they walked away from their ceremony. Pure happiness, shock, jitters and probably so much more.

My favorite time as always was the sunset portraits. It had been a little cloudy throughout the day with the poking out here and there and then BAM! That sun came shining through the woods for their portraits and I am absolutely obsessed with how emotive everything turned out. We got to play around in the woods, walking across the stream, and with Maddie’s veil. Mike also had the coolest bolo tie from his late grandfather which was such a touching piece to document.

June 20th, 2026 I drove down to southwest Ohio to the village of Morrow. Maddie & Mike hosted their wedding at Mike’s parents home and their stunning 9 acres of property that featured a beautiful garden, patio space, woods, and a big tent for dinner. Their colors were pinks, greens, golds, and creams that complimented the entire property beautifully.

When Maddie reached out I was so stoked, because I actually got to know Maddie through college as well and we were both RA’s during my sophomore year. She has such a light about her and one of the kindest souls you’ll ever meet. I remember feeling like a little giddy teenager when I saw Mike and her walking around campus together when they started dating because every time I saw them Maddie had the biggest smile on her face.

Madeline & Michael’s Backyard Summer Wedding in Morrow, Ohio

Madeline and Michael met at CCAD, or Columbus College of Art and Design while attending together. They didn’t originally hit it off right off the get-go, but actually reconnected a little later, then shortly started dating. These two love adventures, from dancing wine drunk on a cruise with a circle of ladies cheering them on to foggy, ludicrous trips to the Grand Canyon with beer and Lunchables for snacking.
